Today our Full Time students stepped into their Mock Auditions - the culmination of four weeks of focused preparation and professional development with Miss Layla.

Each dancer prepared their resumes, headshots, and comp cards, refined across the floor combinations, performed self-choreographed pieces, and learnt & performed a heels combination.

They received personalised feedback from our faculty to strengthen their audition readiness and refine their presentation for future opportunities.

This marks an important step in preparing our dancers for the next stage of their training - with confidence, professionalism, and industry awareness guiding every step.

Today was a very special milestone for our dancers as they stepped into their Australian Institute of Classical Dance exams. For some, it was their very first exam experience, while others continued to build on years of dedicated training - each dancer showing poise, confidence, and pride in their work.

Behind the scenes, it’s never just about one day. It’s the countless hours of classes, rehearsals, and preparation that allow our students to feel calm, ready, and capablet. That dedication truly shone through, with exceptional results across all levels and a very high standard of work from every student.

We were also thrilled to celebrate outstanding achievements, with special medallions awarded to Tayla Tappin, Thea Van Maanen & Freya Coldwell for their top results.

The day ended with plenty of fun - congratulations gifts, smiles, and proud moments shared together. Most importantly, our dancers loved the experience and left feeling accomplished and inspired.

It was an honour to have Mr Mark Brinkley OAM examining our students, ensuring that the highest standards of the AICD were upheld. We are so proud of every dancer who made their statement today. ✨

We had such a great week away at Evolution Fraser Coast - amazing competition, incredible performances, and so many new routines hitting the stage for the first time.

Special congratulations to Freya & Tayla who received Highest Scoring Soloist in their age groups, to Hannah for stepping out with her very first solo, and to all of our soloists who continue to show up, improve, and push for more every time.

I’m so proud of the progress these dancers are making - it’s not just what happens on stage, but the commitment and work happening back in the studio that makes it all possible.

We also had a quick catch-up with our friends at @theleaguestudios, where Dan had the opportunity to learn a new solo. Thank you for having us!

This term has brought an incredible energy into the studio - filled with committed dancers, focused training, and beautiful moments of growth. We’ve celebrated International Dance Day with our annual Sparkle Week, welcomed Miss Layla to the Teaching Team, introduced our Part Time Program, welcomed Miss Donna for Classical Coaching, and represented the studio at GTB Mackay. ✨

As we move into the second half of the term, we’re looking forward to upcoming competitions, our Guest Workshop with Amy-Lee Dionysius, Parent Viewing Week, and our Studio Photo Day.
